Alicia Minshew was born on May 28th in Plantation, Florida.
Alicia is the third of four girls and all four sisters are very close. She also has a very special relationship with her mother (Lenore, an aerobics instructor) and her father (James, an Episcopal minister). She was also greatly influenced by her maternal grandfather who was a performer in his youth and always encouraged and praised her efforts. He recently passed away and Alicia feels his spirit is always guiding her.

Alicia had always wanted to act and it has been an ambition of hers ever since she can remember. She finally began to do some serious work while still in high school in Stuart, Florida.
After high school, she received a musical theatre scholarship to Indian River College. Some of her credits there include "Grease," "Kiss Me Kate," "Godspell" and "Nunsense."
While still in college, Alicia hosted a satellite music program called, "The Music Zone," which resembled the early MTV, where she introduced videos and did live, extemporaneous reports from the field. |

After meeting with an agent in Miami, she also started modeling, doing catalogs and her very first commercial. She met an associate of a talent manager from a New York based management company. With his encouragement and insistence, Alicia came to New York where he introduced her to agents and casting directors. After a whirlwind few days of meetings Alicia returned to Florida. Shortly after that Alicia had to fly back to New York because her manager had arranged for Alicia's very first audition for, "ALL MY CHILDREN." She didn't get the job that very first time but it was enough for Alicia to follow his advice (along with some serious cajoling) that it was now time for her to "take the leap" and relocate to New York City.
Within a short time, her manager helped Alicia to sign with both a TV/Film agent and a commercial agent. She soon booked 2 national network commercials, got her SAG card, and dove into an intensive period of coaching (and hostessing in restaurants). This was years before she joined, "ALL MY CHILDREN" in the role of Kendall.
She has studied acting with the highly respected William Esper, Bob Luke, and most recently with Caroline Thomas.
Ms. Minshew's recent television and film credits include: "Celebrity Death Match," "Hit and Runway," "The Caprice" and "Game Day" in which she co-starred. No stranger to the theatre, Alicia has been seen in leading roles in the New York productions of, "Beggar on Horseback" and "Of Love and Betrayal." She has also appeared in numerous national commercials, voiceovers and print ads. She has also been featured in several magazines (including a feature article in, "TV Guide") both as a subject of interest and model of haute couture. She has also appeared on numerous other shows (i.e.: "The Montel Williams Show," "Entertainment Tonight" and "Soap Talk," to name a few).
Alicia is a tremendous sports fan who also participates. She enjoys swimming, long distance running, weight training, aerobics and dancing. She also enjoys playing the piano and writing. Oh, by the way, her favorite food is Peanut Butter.
Alicia joined the cast of, "ALL MY CHILDREN" in the role of Kendall Hart in January 2002 where she has become a fan favorite and major Daytime TV star. That has not kept her from staying grounded and is still as personable and friendly as she was as an unknown. She maintains a serious grip on reality and has a personal appreciation for her family and friends. Her fans always marvel at just how nice she really is in real life. She remains remarkably unspoiled.
